Infant Mental Health

Working with the knowledge that early relationships can have an impact across the lifespan, Sharon provides specialist therapeutic intervention during the perinatal period prior to birth up to two years of age. This approach involves working therapeutically with parent(s), often with baby present to look at bonding, attachment and working through any difficult past experiences with the aim of bringing about positive changes in the parent child relationship as it develops.

This approach is useful for all parents wishing to develop a strong bond with their baby. It can also be particularly useful for parents who have experienced past difficulties within their own family of origin or who are currently experiencing mental health difficulties. It is also a very useful approach for teenage parents as well as foster carers and adoptive parents.
